Dinner with the friends and guests of franck muller

Franck Muller has always been known for their boldness and innovation in the world of Haute Horlogerie. On 3 May 2017, they celebrated the launch of their Monochrome Watch Series with a sit-down dinner at the "House of Franck Muller" at Isetan, Wisma Atria. Inside the house were lavishly decorated rooms, showcasing various Franck Muller timepieces to friends and guests alike.

Finding suitable table décor to match the ambience of the dining area was no easy feat for Divine Palate. Ultimately, a monochromatic theme was chosen to suit the launch of the Franck Muller timepieces. To add contrast to the otherwise dark setting, silverware from Christofle and glassware from Carlo Moretti were used alongside a series of ivory coloured centrepiece floral arrangements.

Starting off the night was a medley of Canapés - Duck Riette, Sauerkraut and Toasted Brioche; a Smoked Quail Egg with Herb Crumble, Coriander Sponge and Golden Mushroom; and finally, Homemade Squid Ink Rice Puff served with a delicious homemade Spicy Chilli Dip. The series of delicious dishes was certainly able to whet the appetites of guests and prepared them for what was to come next.

Dinner kicked off with Homemade Sundried Tomato and Rosemary Focaccia. Served with Divine Palate's very own Smoked Bacon Butter, it added a touch of elegance befitting of Franck Muller. For the second course, French Onion Soup was served with an incredible crispy Gruyère Tuile that provided a complementary texture.

Guests got a choice between two different main courses, Wagyu or Fish. The Wagyu Rump was tender and succulent, served with rich Truffle Pomme Purée and Creamed Spinach. The Port Wine Sauce rounded off the dish neatly. The other selection was the Chilean Seabass which was seared to perfection, further complemented by the Pumpkin Purée, Seaweed Furikake and Creamed Spinach.

No meal is ever complete without dessert and in this case - Tiramisu. The decadent dessert definitely provided a much needed 'pick me up' after the meal. Thus concluding a time of celebration and the introduction of a new addition to the world of Haute Horlogerie.
